In this hectic world, where it is difficult to switch off, it is helpful to find a time to be still and quiet. The Deep Relaxation workshop creates a space to give yourself permission to stop and relax. Whether you have a stressful job, are a parent to young children, have trouble sleeping, are living with or recovering from illness, or for whatever reason you would like to relax and re-energise, this workshop will support you.
The session consists of some gentle yoga movements to relax the body, resting in a series of supported yoga postures, and a final yoga nidra (deep relaxation). You do not need any previous experience of yoga, but a willingness to let go! (Relaxation does not come naturally to everyone, but with practice can become second nature in all sorts of situations.) I will talk you through every step of the process and create a safe, supportive environment in the smaller, cosier room at this venue.
You will need to bring a blanket, two cushions or pillows, and wear comfortable clothing (layers are good). I provide yoga mats, eye pillows, and bolsters.
For many people, the relaxation at the end of a yoga class is their favourite part. So treat yourself to a total immersion! Please book your place here, places are limited.
